Did you know?

The Salvation Army is a Christian church! At the Santa Cruz Corps (church), we are a bilingual congregation who worships in both English and Spanish. We meet on Sunday evenings at 6pm.

What can you expect at our Worship Service?

When you come through our doors, you'll meet some wonderful people. :)

We start our services with contemporary worship songs, singing in both English and Spanish.

We also have a time of testimony for people to share prayer requests or give glory to God for what He's done in our lives the past week.

The Bible Message (sermon) is preached by one of our Officers (ordained ministers). The Salvation Army believes that both men and women have an equal calling to preaching, so you'll find both men and women sharing the sermon.

All aspects of our service are translated live. No matter if you speak English or Spanish (or any other language!), you are welcome at The Salvation Army Santa Cruz Corps.

¡El Ejército de Salvación es una iglesia cristiana! En el Cuerpo de Santa Cruz (iglesia), somos una congregación bilingüe que adora en inglés y español. Nos reunimos los domingos por la tarde a las 6pm.

¿Qué puede esperar en nuestro Servicio de Adoración?

Cuando entres por nuestras puertas, conocerás gente maravillosa. :)

Comenzamos nuestros servicios con canciones de adoración contemporáneas, cantando tanto en inglés como en español.

También tenemos un tiempo de testimonio para que las personas compartan peticiones de oración o den gloria a Dios por lo que ha hecho en nuestras vidas la semana pasada.

El Mensaje Bíblico (sermón) es predicado por uno de nuestros Oficiales (ministros ordenados). El Ejército de Salvación cree que tanto hombres como mujeres tienen el mismo llamado a predicar, por lo que encontrará tanto hombres como mujeres compartiendo el sermón.

Todos los aspectos de nuestro servicio se traducen en vivo. No importa si hablas inglés o español (¡o cualquier otro idioma!), eres bienvenido al Cuerpo de Santa Cruz del Ejército de Salvación.

What We Believe

The Salvation Army is a worldwide church, and our Corps Community Centers provide church services and act as community hubs for spiritual development through a multitude of programs. These programs range from providing a sanctuary for quiet prayer, worship services and Sunday School to Bible study groups, Women's Ministries, Men's Fellowships, music & instruction, and character building programs for children.

We Believe:

• The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that they only constitute the Divine rule of Christian faith and practice.
• There is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver, and Governor of all things, and who is the only proper object of religious worship.
• There are three persons in the Godhead - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.
• In the person of Jesus Christ, the Divine and human natures are united, so that He is truly and properly God and truly and properly man.
• Our first parents were created in a state of innocence, but by their disobedience, they lost their purity and happiness, and that in consequence of their fall, all men have become sinners, totally depraved, and as such are justly exposed to the wrath of God.
• The Lord Jesus Christ has, by His suffering and death, made an atonement for the whole world so that whosoever believes in Him will may be saved.
• Repentance toward God, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are necessary to salvation.
• We are justified by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
• Continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.
• It is the privilege of all believers to be wholly sanctified, and that their whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• In the immortality of the soul, the resurrection of the body, in the general judgment at the end of the world, in the eternal happiness of the righteous, and in the endless punishment of the wicked.

Lo Que Creemos

El Ejército de Salvación es una iglesia mundial, y nuestros Centros Comunitarios Corps brindan servicios religiosos y actúan como centros comunitarios para el desarrollo espiritual a través de una multitud de programas. Estos programas van desde proporcionar un santuario para oración tranquila, servicios de adoración y escuela dominical hasta grupos de estudio bíblico, ministerios de mujeres, becas de hombres, música e instrucción y programas de formación de carácter para niños.

Creemos:

• Las Escrituras del Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento fueron dadas por inspiración de Dios, y que ellas sólo constituyen la regla Divina de la fe y práctica cristiana.
• Hay un solo Dios, que es infinitamente perfecto, el Creador, Conservador y Gobernador de todas las cosas, y que es el único objeto propio de la adoración religiosa.
